Privacy Policy
Your privacy on the Internet is important to us. Although we limit the amount of information collected about our users pursuant to United States Agency for International Development (USAID) regulations governing external project websites, some information is collected. We want our users to be fully aware of how this information is captured and used. This Privacy Policy discloses what information we gather and how we use it. This Privacy Policy applies to the Nigeria Expanded Exports Program (NEEP) site and includes all pages within the "nigeriaexport.org" domain (the “Site”).We do not collect and share personally identifiable information from our visitors unless you authorize us to collect and share your data by opting-in when you request a transaction or service from us or when you provide your personally identifiable information (defined below) to us through our Site. If you have agreed to the collection and disclosure of your personally identifiable information or provided your personally identifiable information to us, we will collect, use, and disclose that personally identifiable information that you have provided to us according to this Privacy Policy. Registering on our Site and providing your personally identifiable information is optional. If you choose not to register or provide personally identifiable information, you can still use the Site. However, you will not be able to receive email newsletters or leave feedback about the Site functionality, or request a Custom Assessment. Nathan Associates, as administrators of the Site, view the visitor information that it collects as a trusted asset which we take great care to protect.
Collection and Use of Information Personally Identifiable Information
“Personally Identifiable Information" is information that identifies you personally, such as your name, address, telephone number, email address, or organization. Here are some examples of manners in which we may collect and use your personally identifiable information on the Site:
- When you provide feedback, survey or application on the Site, you will be asked for personally identifiable information, such as your name, email address, and organization. This information will be stored on our Site and used to contact you in response to your feedback, for technical administration of the Site, and to implement improvements to the Site.
The above list provides examples of the personally identifiable information that may be collected on the Site. If you do not want to opt-in to the collection of your personally identifiable information, please do not provide it to us.
Non-Personally Identifiable Information
“Non-personally identifiable information” is information that does not identify you personally. The Site collects non-personally identifiable information in order to track information about the usage of the Site including which tools and which functions of the Site are being requested most often. The purpose of this data collection is so that the Site administrators can better understand the preferences of its visitors and improve its Site and services.
The information collected cannot be traced back to a particular individual and is never connected with any personally identifiable information you supply to us if you register on our Site. Only summaries of visitor behavior are produced. Here are some examples of the non-personally identifiable information that is collected via the Site and a description of how this information is used:
- Internet Protocol (IP) Addresses The Site records your IP address, which is the Internet address of your computer, and information such as your browser type and operating system. This information helps us learn about the geographical distribution of our Site visitors and the technology they use to access our Site.
- Statistical Information: The Site records statistical information concerning which pages are most popular and which are least popular.
- We use non-personally identifiable information collected on the Site in the manner disclosed above.
Use of Cookies
The Site does not make use of cookies.
Sharing and Disclosure of Information
We may share or disclose your personally identifiable information once you have opted-in in the following instances:
- To fulfill a request for and to seek additional information from you concerning a Custom Assessment. If you are working at a USAID country mission, your information will be forwarded to the EGAT branch of USAID in order to initiate the request for a Custom Assessment.
- To unaffiliated third-party service providers, agents or independent contractors who help us maintain our Site and provide other administrative services to us (including, but not limited to, sending customer communications on our behalf, and Site maintenance). We seek to ensure that these unaffiliated third parties will not use the personally identifiable information for any other purpose than to provide the administrative services for which they are responsible. Because such unaffiliated third-party service providers that help us administer our Site will have access to users' personally identifiable information, if you do not wish for our unaffiliated third-party service providers to have access to your information, please do not register or submit any personally identifiable information to us.
- To provide USAID with information for the following purposes, including but not limited to, Site and program evaluation, Site Registration, and evaluation of Site and program efficiency.
- To track and analyze non-identifying and aggregate usage and volume statistical information from our visitors provide such information to third parties.
- To comply with the law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary in order to conform to the requirements of law or comply with legal process served on us, protect and defend our rights or property, or act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of our users.
Except as described in this Privacy Policy or at the time we request the information, we do not otherwise use, share or otherwise disclose your personally identifiable information to any third parties.
We may share non-personally identifiable information with third parties.
Collection and Use of Information from Children Under the Age of 13
This Site is not directed to children under the age of thirteen and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen on the Site. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personal information from a visitor under the age of thirteen on the Site, we will delete the information from our records.
Changes in Privacy Preferences
Your choices regarding whether you would like your personally identifiable information collected and disclosed will apply until you tell us to change them. If you decide that you would like to cease having your personally identifiable information collected and/or shared, please contact us.

WebFirst, as the Site hosting provider, employs a range of technologies to protect the information maintained on the NEEP system from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected on the Site. The Site may contain links to other web sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these other web sites.

You can determine when the Privacy Policy was last updated by looking at the “last update” date at the bottom of this Policy. If there are any changes to this Privacy Policy, we will post the changes on our Privacy Policy page: http://www.nigeriaexport.org/privacy-policy.
